Cafe Pausa vélemények
Aranyos hely.

Mindkét esetben külön kellett fizetni a köretért. A bécsi szelet túl száraz volt, míg én normál paradicsomot kaptam a száraz helyett. Az ár-minőség viszony a legalján rendben volt.

A cozy place under the coca cola parasol. Had a great beef stroganoff there. The food is plentiful and tasty.

we order Goulash soup that was excellent. we also ordered Goulash stew a traditional Hungarian dish that was very good. the Tokjai sec/dry wine we ordered was a good companion to the dishes. the caputchino and the caffe latte were of good quality as well. prices are very moderate. service was between good to reasonable. we would like to recommend this restaurant and we mean to visit there again

This restaurant is located in an area full of similar restaurant with the same kind of offer. We selected it since something in the menu was interesting. At the beginning the service was slow then was ok. My wife had a wiener schnitzel (price 2990 fht) and I had a chicken breast filled with dried tomatoes, mozzarella and rucola (1990 fht). In both the case you had to pay extra the side dish. The wiener schnitzel was too dry while I got normal tomatoes in place of the dry one. Price-quality relationship was at the bottom ok.

Tuscan breast with rucola is amazing. Good place, prices are normal
Service and food suck big time. Watch out for your life. Glass pieces in the meal!!!

Disadvantage is that I can read the tips when I sit down and connect to wifi (as no roaming data). I wouldn't sit here with such negative tips:)) but seems like things have changed, it is ok here.

Vacsorázni szerettünk volna a Liszt Ferenc tér környékén, párom steak-et szeretett volna enni. A pincérek mindemellett készségesek voltak.

During our one week stay in Budapest, we ate here twice. Love this pedestrian only street with its small treed park in the middle. Seems so removed from the city noise. The outdoor seating area was lovely and cozy with soft lighting, portable heaters and throw blankets available for those chillier evenings. We tried the stuffed pork loin, the schnitzel, pizza and the paprika chicken. Everything was delicious. Sides for the pork loin and schnitzel were an additional fee. It did impress me when I originally ordered veggies and potato to accompany my pork loin that the waiter said it would likely be too much food so I cut it back and he was right. The only thing we weren't happy about was that a twelve percent gratuity was added to the bill and in Hungary ten percent is customary. However, our delicious meals here were still about half the cost of what we would have paid in North America and we love that in Hungary, tax is included :)

Very near the House of Horrors and the Book Cafe (both which I've also reviewed), you'll find this lovely side street, Liszt Ferenc ter. It is a pedestrian street lined with restaurants, one beside another on both sides of the street, all with outdoor dining. The decision on where to eat was intimidating. Finally we just picked Cafe Pausa. We had a big dinner planned that night so wanted a light lunch. We both got salads. I know it sounds a bit odd when I say that the chicken Caesar salads were amazing. I don't think I've ever raved over a Caesar salad. Something about how the chicken was prepared and their dressing was really special. Sit, relax, savor and enjoy. We learned early in our visit to Budapest not to mistake having to ask for a check for poor service. Quite the contrary. The service was always excellent. Seemed everyone was friendly in Hungary. The restaurants want you to sit and enjoy. There is never a rush to move you out. You will not get your check until you ask for it. When they say, "Enjoy!" They mean it. If you're in a bit of a rush to see more of this city, politely ask for your check and you can be on your way.

Nothing special at this place. Reasonable prices and the food was fairly OK. I ordered ribs and they were little disappointment, all fat no meat. Service was OK too. I think there is a lot of better places in this street tough.

Cosy setting, friendly staff. Shame we were here during bad weather (you can shelter from the rain), but it's located in a nice part of the city. Good place for a drink and some lunch to have a little break from seeing the city.

Despite all the negative reviews, we thought this place was just fine for a hot August evening. Summers in Budapest can get be sweltering and good restaurant cooling can be the difference between a pleasant experience and misery. A number of Liszt Ferenc tér's wall to wall restaurants have mist fans to cool the outside seating - we found Cafe Pausa's the strongest and most effective. Delicious paprika chicken (even if the serving was a bit lousy), excellent mixed pickled vegetables and pizza 'Hungarian' style. Excellent cold beer and reasonably priced Badacsonyi riesling. Friendly efficient service from our waitress Annamaria and the canned music wasn't too intrusive. HUF 19,000 for three didn't seem too bad.

Simply dropped in for drinks. The service was quick, attentive, and friendly. Our order was taken quickly, and drinks provided with a smile. Prices are good, and the ambience is chilled.

We were not staying far from Cafe Pausa so wondered down past all the many restaurants on the same street and chose Pausa due to its varied menu offering Hungarian dishes aswell as Italian and others. The food was tasty and large portions were greatly received after a long day. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, with friendly staff trying to accommodate all your needs. The only drawback was the slight overcrowding of tables making moving in and out awkward for you and whoever ended up with your bum in their food or face.

Friendly little place in the heart of the city (Liszt Ferenc Square). Staff is very friendly, helpful and efficient. Food is excellent, they have a wide selection of drinks. Highly recommended. In the peak season it's a good idea to make reservations.

We chose this restaurant from several around it for no particular reason. The service was great from the start. We both chose a Caesars Salad (one with chicken, the other with prawns) which were fabulous, followed by a flaming pancake. Yum yum. We recommend this Cafe.

All the waiters were very polite and helpful but food service was very slow. We went as a fairly large group and depending on what we ordered some received delicious food whilst others got a fairly bland offering. Definitely not the best place we visited during our stay but good value for money.
